EDUCATION PROGRAM
About the Program
CMHA is committed to public awareness efforts that result in reduced stigma of mental illness. Through education and training activities our Education Program assists services and groups in our community to understand the issues that people with mental illness face and to learn ways to support people with a mental illness. Understanding each other builds an inclusionary community.

Annual Awareness Campaigns
Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week, an annual national event held the first week in May, provides CMHA Branches throughout Canada the opportunity to promote and implement special activities and displays Mental Illness Week
Mental Illness Week
Held annually in the first week of October, Mental Illness week focuses on special events associated with mental illness.
